ReadersMagnet places these five locations as must-see destinations once the world recovers from the Covid-19 pandemic.
It’s hard not to put Tokyo, Japan, on our list. After all, it is one of the most iconic cities globally and a symbol of modernity. When the pandemic put the world at a standstill, many major cities suddenly became ghost towns. Although Japan is among the countries with an impressive Covid-response record, Tokyo and many of its cities suffered a great deal. Tokyo and other Japanese cities are popular tourist attractions. Japan receives over 31 million tourists each year. In 2020, the number of visitors went down to only 4 million people. When the pandemic is over, Japan will be among the countries people will long to visit, and people would like to roam the streets of modern Tokyo once again.
After the pandemic, we are pretty confident that many will finally decide to take on the great outdoor adventure they’ve been dreaming about. While there are many locations for wildlife and nature trips, Africa still holds one of the most impressive outdoor adventure locations. Chief of them is the beautiful country of Madagascar. Travel writer and professional photographer Nicki Geigert once wrote about her lifelong memories in Madagascar in her photo travel book, Family Trip to Magical Madagascar and Beyond. She featured numerous amazing photos of animals, plants, sceneries, and people in Madagascar in her book. Indeed, the vast African nation boasts of nature’s majesty and an adventure not easily forgotten.
There are currently 12 Disney parks across six different resorts scattered worldwide, and we are pretty sure millions will flock to the world’s most popular theme park. In the United States alone, there are six Disney spots, two castle parks, and four resorts. Abroad, Disneylands are located in Tokyo, Shanghai, Paris, and Hong Kong. Before the pandemic, Disney and other theme parks were the havens for children and those young at hearts. After the pandemic, many kids and even adults would want to revisit the place that reminded them of happy endings and a good old fairytale life, safe from illness and uncertainty.
After being holed up in houses and quarantine areas, many of us would want to get away as far as possible. Imagine blue skies, the waves crashing, fresh and cool air where life is tranquil and simple. Imagine Hawaii. A small archipelago 2,000 miles from mainland United States, Hawaii and its many volcanic islands are the perfect post-Covid getaway destination. The islands Honolulu, Lanai, O’ahu, Maui, Molokai, Ni’ihau, Kaho’olawe, and mainland Hawaii offer some of the most iconic beaches, adorable people, and excellent vacation weather. Hawaii averages about 10 million tourists each year until Covid-19 happened. People will probably flock to this amazing tourist destination once the pandemic is gone and travel is allowed.
Hong Kong, Asia
Hong Kong in Asia is the world’s most visited city, with almost 30 million arrivals every year. Aside from its shopping centers and Disneyland, Hong Kong is home to many skyscrapers that allow visitors to have a 360-degree view of the city. It is also home to the Peak Tram, magnificent monasteries, Tai O, Madame Tussaud Museum, Chungking Mansions, The Tian Tan Buddha Statue, the Ten Thousand Buddhas Monastery, Kowloon Walled City Park, A Symphony of Lights, and the famous Victoria Harbour. Just like Tokyo, the city of Hong Kong symbolizes modern living and good city life. After the pandemic, people will want to feel the hustle and bustle of the city and its people again, a reminder of the pre-covid times where everyone had plans and places to go.
