It might be separate from Christianity, but the Methodist Church is aligned with its beliefs and the overall perception of how life should be lived.

With the many beliefs that mandate life, what should people follow?

Belief is a universal set of rules and moral frameworks that govern people’s lives. What they believe in shapes the choices they make and the experiences they allow. It molds them to be who they are and what they can be, a powerful component that dictates humanity.

With people’s aim to live a meaningful life, beliefs are crucial in enhancing their experiences. These give sense and intent to the choices and affairs they take part in, helping them better navigate through the intricacies of life. Beliefs are the patterns that shape how people expect and perceive things. They mold the world to be how it’s perceived from an individual’s perspective.

Hence, the question of which belief people must act by must be considered.

The Different Primary Beliefs Governing the World

Religion is the most potent among the different philosophies and significant individuals whose words impact the world. While it has branched into other classes, religion, as a social construct, has the authority to manage most people’s decisions.

People are born into their religion. From the moment they gain consciousness and the ability to navigate the world, they already do so under the scope of religion. This is how powerful this concept is about its influence on people’s lives.

Religion is primarily separated into two distinct categories: Abrahamic and Indian religions.

Aside from where they’re commonly practiced, these religions have distinctive frameworks and laws governing their followers’ behaviors. While they mainly impact who people worship, they cater to the doctrines these individuals are made to study and live by religiously. This is one reason why cultures and residents from different countries behave differently and have other priorities.

However, this difference is also why there can be separation among these citizens. With how significant of an influence these beliefs have, there’s no questioning how the slightest instance of difference or contrast can have the authority to make massive differences among behaviors.

But is there a way these different beliefs are molded into a singular philosophy and way of life?

The Methodist Church, a New and Unifying Perspective

Author Russell Marlett has released a religious material meant to be all-encompassing.

While most materials commonly cater to specific religions, Russel has aimed his book to be a general philosophy beneficial to everyone. Although he has worked with religion-centered beliefs he has practiced and grown up with, he has managed to transcend these and capture life’s intricacies. Russel has authored his book for a more general audience, detailing significant events and what people can do to better cope with these.

Growing up, Russell Marlett was raised in a family that followed the beliefs of the Methodist church. His mother has made sure he and his sister religiously lived by these beliefs, which fueled the intentions behind his book. While Commentaries of Wisdom doesn’t necessarily go into detail about the Methodist church, it can be safe to assume it reflects and offers a glimpse of the values it upholds.

Methodists believe people must focus on enriching their faith to have better community relationships. They believe in actions, highlighting their importance over words.

In the Methodist Church, actions speak louder than words. This is how they weigh their judgment of character and the retribution for their wrongdoings.

Methodism is generally governed by three simple and all-encompassing rules that may be significant throughout any religion. Such beliefs may have been primarily developed to serve the Methodist church. But they can be reflected and practiced throughout society in general. These revolve around doing no harm, doing good, and staying in love with their spiritual figure.

If people take out its religious context, these values can be utilized by everyone. They help in societal improvement — a unifying belief that can be valuable for everyone regardless.
