This book shows evidence that God is a blessing as many people today as He did in Biblical times. It will share some amazing ways God can communicate with you with each of you. Make yourself more receptive to God’s guidance today. Be inspired to seek God’s work on earth with new insight and wisdom. Believe that God is performing signs and wonders today.

Does God Perform Miracles today?

Christians know of no scriptural reason why God would not, or could not, perform miracles today. He is still sovereign God and our modern world has not somehow minimized His ability to act in miraculous ways. But God most often works through His people. He has commissioned His church to take the gospel to the world, making disciples of all nations (Matthew 28:18-20). The Bible records for the human race the miracles that God used to establish His church, and all can look back at those to validate the divine origin of the church and God’s calling. You do not need miracles today to do that. The Gospel of John records several post-resurrection appearances of Jesus. Among these was a visit with Thomas in John 20:24-29. At the end of this appearance, Thomas believed that Jesus had indeed risen from the dead. This passage then closes with what one believes is Jesus’ answer to the question of miracles today. “Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed,” Jesus said that those who believe without physical proof of the resurrection are blessed. And, by extension, one would think that applies to miracles in general. Those who believe by faith alone, apart from the miraculous, are blessed. Of course, all who believe are blessed, but even more, those who believe apart from external experiences.

Now Alford’s book, The Hands of God, can enlighten you on everyday miracles, signs, and wonders. If you have ever wondered if God exists, then Judith’s book will share with you some amazing ways God can communicate with you. He loves humanity and desires them to have a relationship with His Son, Jesus Christ. On the other hand, if you are already a believer in Jesus Christ, this book will encourage your faith journey as it offers you true stories of how your relationship with God can deepen.

The Book’s Intent

In one of Alford’s interviews, she conveyed, “I hope that this book will encourage Christians to step out and walk in their faith journey more. Too often, we have these things happen to us, and we stay quiet about them because they are kind of supernatural.”

To Judith, this book has visions, which one can get when one is wide awake. It’s different from a dream. It starts with a vision, and that’s the vision that God gave to Alford. Having served in missionary work in Russia and Germany, she wants people to be able to realize that God is wonderful today, and He still does miracles, signs, and wonders. This book is an exquisite culmination of testaments on the Lord’s benevolence and his unconditional love for his people.
