God the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit are all regarded as one entity in three forms. In Christianity, when the gospel transforms us into better individuals, we always look up to the Higher Power to praise and worship.

As a Christian living the ways of God, have you ever felt sudden happiness that made you think of thanking God for everything? You must have felt the presence of the Holy Spirit. Some people claim to have felt a tingling sensation that they associate with the guidance from the One Above. These sensations allow them to choose the right direction in life, which leads them away from misadventures and bad omens. We also feel a warmth and friendly sensation every time the gospel transforms us into a better person.

Lauralee Lindholm’s Out of Darkness Into Light is a spirituality book that shares the missionary journey of the author and other missionaries in Ethiopia. The book shares anecdotes of the author and other people involved in the journey of sharing the gospel of Orthodox Christianity in Ethiopian highlands.

If we were to be the people meeting Lauralee’s group, how would one feel that the gospel is already taking over and leading us to light? Here are some signs that the gospel transforms us into the people of God:

The Gospel Lets Us Live Like Christ

The gospels are stories that imply the works of God on people. When you were young, you might have heard parables that provide valuable lessons that you still carry as an adult. As you apply these lessons to your life, you get to have a chance to decide what is wrong and right.

Jesus Christ, the Son of God, lived among other people as a normal human. He experienced hardships and bliss. He also prayed to His Father like any other ordinary person would do. As He lived His life following the will of God the Father, He was able to make miracles with other people and experiences he encountered in His earthly lifetime.

The gospels in the Bible are our guide to help us see the light. Once we feel like the gospel transforms us into a much better person, we are already following the footsteps of Christ.

The Holy Spirit Gives Us the Power to Witness

The Holy Spirit is another entity that is also another form of God Above. Most of the time, the Holy Spirit is depicted as rays of light or a white dove guiding people into the light. When we are practicing the gospel, we tend to get guided by something more than the words on pieces of bound paper. As Christians, we can say that the gospel is a sacred power or a sensation of love and discipline.

If the Holy Spirit is with us or within us, we get to witness these manifestations in us or other people. With that, we can conclude that gospel transforms us. Believers of God accept these manifestations and help other people see the righteous paths in their lives. Thus, some of us, like Lauralee Lindholm, take the path of preaching the word of God.

We Are Guided into All Truth

Yes, as the gospel transforms us, we get to experience peace and see the light of life. The Holy Spirit is our guide to see a clearer vision of God and His purpose for us. When we practice the gospel and the values they entail, we must become good people.

We Feel that the Holy Spirit Convicts Us of Sin

We are all born sinners. It is the reason why we need the guidance of the Holy Spirit and the gospel in our lives. The Holy Spirit convicts us of sin. With this, we get to think of a decision to make everything right. Temptation is always there. It is actually not a sin since Jesus was also tempted to do bad things. When you give in to the temptation and do the deed, it is when you sin. The Holy Spirit is there, like a conscience, to help you see the truth to avoid doing the sin.

We Get Closer to Other Believers

Another sign that the gospel transforms us is getting connected to other believers. Believers of God tend to find other people through the church. The church is a place where believers get to agree on their interests in sharing their own testimonies that God is real and that they can also help other people see the light.
