Cixin Liu is a prolific and popular science fiction writer from the People’s Republic of China. He was labeled as the first cyberpunk Chinese author after the publication of his novel China 2185 in 1989. Liu gained fame for his famous mind-bending trilogy The Three-Body Problem. First published in 2007 but only translated in 2014 by American author Ken Liu. The novel won the 2015 Hugo Award of Best Novel, making him the first Asian to win the Best Novel award. The New York Times dubbed him as the writer most responsible for bringing modern science fiction into the literary mainstream. Other than Fahrenheit 451, his science fiction novels include The Martian Chronicles, Something Wicked This Way Comes, and The Illustrated Man.

Dennis E. Taylor

Computer programmer turned novelist, Dennis E. Taylor is a hard science fiction author exploring the interaction between artificial intelligence and the human condition.
