Many religions have stemmed our world, and each religion always finds ways to glorify the Lord.

It offers a sense of conviction in their belief, and people ground themselves on the beliefs and doctrines of His religion. Books like Glory to Glory: The Indication and Identification of Jehovah-El Elyon often talk about the being whose greatness is unsearchable and whose glory reigns heaven and earth. However, this mindset always begs the question of why. Why do we humans trust and believe in a divine being?

Why Do We Believe In A God?

You can make sense of the world if you believe in God; you cannot do it without God. Despite its importance, we hardly ever give this much thought. We get up every day expecting the world to act in a particular way. Consider that everybody has a moral compass—a conscience. Additionally, we all presume that the world is comprehensible, meaning we can understand it. Everybody believes in logic. Therefore, we anticipate that the other person won’t contradict themselves.

Everyone thinks that the cosmos acts in a trustworthy and consistent manner. Everybody expects the sun to rise in the morning. We believe that when we get out of bed in the morning, we won’t fall “up” to the ceiling. The future will essentially be the same as the past. This worldview enables science to exist.

With all those “expected of the world,” we should never forget to glorify the Lord daily. Sometimes, we forget that every day is already a miracle when thinking about all the so-called “coincidences” to line up to bring about a new day ideally. Moreover, we forget that it can bring about a new purpose for us and has the potential to be a great one.

Whether we believe in the Most Highest or not, uniformity in nature and the capacity for inductive reasoning are science prerequisites. Only in a trustworthy and consistent world can these presumptions make sense. We believe in a God because there is no reason to think the world is that way if God does not exist. Random chance would be the lone “god” in an unguided, godless universe.

Why Should We Glorify the Lord and Trust Him?

He’s All-Knowing.

God knows everything we are going through and will experience in the future. We must have faith and glorify the Lord to achieve the finest results because he knows the best course of action. He is all-knowing, so we must trust him and follow his lead.

As humans, we always try to pride ourselves on the belief that we can strive to know everything. Yet, countless pursuits have rendered this belief obsolete as we try to explain the happenings of our universe and the day-to-day scenarios we experience. The only other way to describe this is that God works on His plan.

He is worthy of our trust.

Unlike humans, whose trust is not always 100%, our trust in the Lord goes above everything, and He will not disappoint us. The belief that our God is always there for us and despite us going through challenges, our Creator never puts us in situations that he knows we cannot overcome.

To have faith is to have trust. You must have complete faith that God is watching out for you and will provide for you. He knows what is best, but you must have faith to accept what he has in store for you. Because our God is good and faithful, we can glorify the Lord, as our reliance is not foolish. As you learn more about God’s nature, you will become more joyful and willing to trust Him.

Everything is possible through God.

He’s aware of your heart’s desires. If you trust him, the things you want most will be taken care of. He is able to determine what is best for you. If your goals seem unattainable or difficult to accomplish, reconsider. With God, anything is possible. All you need to do is trust that he will support and see you through anything.
