From setting up an alarm to wake up on time to prepare the kids for school, to turning on the television to watch the latest news, to receiving a call that you got a job offer from that one company you applied for that promises a good pay; technology is all around. With the amount of convenience that technology offers to one and all, everyone must remind themselves that there is still such a thing as too much. Lesser Screen Time for Good Health is a must, especially for the little ones.

An Exercise book for children under 10 years old is a necessity in these modern times, where almost every person is leaning towards a more sedentary lifestyle. Whether it be emotional, mental, or physical, how a person spends their days can affect their overall health.

If you are a parent, it is a must that you set a good example for the children. Monitor your little one’s screen usage while also showing them that you are also able to balance your time by engaging in more productive activities, which is even better if you do it together as one whole happy family! So why should reducing screen time for kids be done?

A Better Sleeping Pattern:

Too much screen time, especially one that is one before going to sleep, is known to be connected to causing a disturbance in a person’s sleeping patterns, and this can be critical when it comes to children who are still growing.

Engagement in Physical Activities:

Encouraging Kids to Exercise Regularly is a must to create a balanced lifestyle and better overall health. With less screen time for children, regular engagement in physical activities helps protect their bodies from possible health issues that can occur.

Development of Creativity and Critical Thinking Skills:

Too much exposure to gadgets can hinder a child’s development of their creativity and critical thinking skills which are both of which are relevant to fulfilling a more successful life. With less screen time, the little ones can engage in better and more productive activities such as imaginative play or even reading a book!

Higher Level of Communication Skills:

The less time is spent facing a screen, the more chances of time being spent on engaging in face-to-face interaction with other people. With a higher level of communication skills, both a kid’s verbal and non-verbal communications skills are built stronger.

A Stable Mental Well-being:

Content found online can come at a wide variety of genres, and this can be both negative and/or positive. Overexposure to social media that caters more on negativity can impact your little one’s mental health, and they need to be showered with as much positivity as possible, because only in a nurturing environment do children thrive.

With that said, while every parent does things differently when it comes to taking care of their little ones, it all boils down to one thing: ensuring that they live a balanced lifestyle.

For parents who are not sure where to begin, you can start motivating your precious little one by reading to them Kristina Orliczky’s literary work entitled “Mona’s Mitten a Story to MOVE to.”
