Stations of the Risen Christ: Resurrection Meditations is the latest work by author Frank Heelan.

The Passion of Christ is perhaps the most compelling story in the Bible’s New Testament. Christians worldwide and throughout time have come to view this as the most important part of Jesus Christ’s journey on this earth. His suffering and death on the Cross have inspired many to pray and commemorate his life and death. However, many of us leave out the best part, which is Christ’s resurrection from the dead. Today we take a look at Frank Heelan’s Stations of the Risen Christ and revisit what it means to worship the Risen Christ.

Stations of the Risen Christ

Stations of the Risen Christ: Resurrection Meditations is the latest work by Frank Heelan. It was published last April 2020. This 52-page devotional book hopes to inspire readers to pray and meditate on the Scriptural passages. Heelan takes us back to the time of Jesus Christ’s rise from the dead and his miraculous appearances to over 500 of his faithful followers. The book features the fourteen scripture readings followed by brief meditations. TheseBrief meditation follows each fourteen Scripture readings to persuade Christians to pray and understand the divine mysteries.

In this remarkable book, Frank Heelan emphasized the passion and death of Jesus Christ and his ultimate sacrifice to save mankind from sins. This timeless episode of the Bible gave birth to the rise of modern Christians who celebrate Christ’s life by commemorating the Holy Week and doing stations of the Cross.

For many Roman Catholics and Christians, Lent serves as a spiritual pilgrimage through the life and love of Jesus Christ. But as we are all familiar with the passion of Christ, His life did not end with His crucifixion. On the third day, he rose again, and many of us forget the importance of His Resurrection. His resurrection is a fulfillment of His promise. This is an essential part of the passion of Christ, and Frank Heelan believes that the Resurrection of Christ should be added to the Stations of the Cross.

Stations of the Risen Christ: Easter Reflections offers many points of discussion to modern readers, including significant events leading to Christ’s Resurrection. Pivotal moments such as the women find the empty tomb, the women tell the disciples, Peter and the Disciple Run to the Tomb, Jesus Appears to Mary Magdalene, Jesus, and the Disciples Walk to Emmaus, Jesus Appears to His Disciples, Thomas Believes, Jesus Appears to the Disciples at Lake Tiberias, Jesus Shares a Meal with the Disciples, Jesus Commissions Peter “Feed My Sheep,” Jesus said, “Go, Teall All People,” Jesus Ascends into Heaven, The Holy Spirit Fills Believers, and Jesus Will Come Again are so important that they should be added to the Stations of the Cross.

He believes that these new stations should be performed during Easter to celebrate the return of Jesus Christ. Heelan’s work provides a powerful message of hope and new perspectives that is appealing to the current Christian ways of approaching the Bible. Reading Heelan’s book allows us to absorb Bible verses and appreciate more the Passion of Christ and His Resurrection.
