My Life of Poems by Trinidad Rodriguez tackles the strength of women in relationships.

Poetry is one of the oldest forms of self-expression. Its existence can be traced thousands of years ago and many times poetry served as a gateway to discovering ancient civilizations, cultures, and traditions. On a personal level, poems are often written to record one’s experience, emotions, and thoughts. Even today, many of us still turn to poetry when writing down our ideas and feelings. Poems are shorter and they allow us creative freedom to archive our memories. Many, however, choose poetry to chronicle a phase in their lives. These memoirs written as poems and prose provide us a glimpse into the author’s philosophies, struggles, and victories. They take us on a different journey that is a series of events, and not just a single moment. Today, ReadersMagnet takes a closer look at a memoir written as a collection of poems and prose.
