We often face many challenges and strive so much that we want to give up and let go of everything.
Sometimes, we even become tempted to take the easy way out, even if it can hurt others and be counterproductive. However, waiting for God’s plan is still important because we have to understand that there is a bigger picture, one that sometimes we cannot see yet. However, the lord can see this and guide us towards achieving that more significant path.
Because of this, we must be patient as we strive to live out God’s values and virtues while facing challenges that block our way. Books like Facing the Challenge, Beating the Odds inspire us to continue doing our best despite the obstacles. We should be patient because God has a plan for us.
How Do We Become Patient While Waiting For God’s Plan
Identifying your triggers.
We all have different things that can make us impatient, such as waiting in line for a long time or facing a frustrated person. When it comes to our emotions and what can make us lose our patience, however, as we are waiting for God’s plan, we have to do our best to avoid these triggers once we have identified them to emulate his virtues and values while doing so.
In the bigger picture, sometimes you also become too impatient while waiting for God’s plan, making rash decisions that could disadvantage you or others. We must remember that we are not in complete control of our lives, and there are always things we are unaware of. Once we let go of this particular trigger, we must continue patiently waiting for God’s plan because the Lord has a plan for us instead of hastily doing things. We can enjoy life more and immerse ourselves in the journey.
Set boundaries.
Even the most patient people will lose their temper. Understandably, sometimes we feel impatient, and as humans, this reaction is justified because we are not perfect. Concerning understanding what triggers are, it is crucial that we set healthy boundaries when we know some things cause these triggers to happen.
For example, we know we will deal with a frustrating coworker who always backbites other people. If it cannot be avoided, we must set boundaries on what they can talk about and continue reframing that conversation with the coworker to focus on your task instead of your coworker’s attitude of gossiping.

Accept the things that we cannot change.
Sometimes, we get frustrated with our situation or the people we deal with, even though these things are inevitable. There are things that we cannot change, such as getting diagnosed with cerebral palsy, but learning to adapt to them is more important because not only do we become more flexible people, but we also become more patient while waiting for God’s plan instead of always trying to do something about it hastily.
Apart from helping us develop patience, this also plays a significant role in allowing ourselves to relax and feel more at ease with ourselves instead of being so hard on ourselves about things that we cannot change.
Develop better strategies.
Burnout is expected because we experience many hurdles in our lives. We must try to avoid them as much as possible, and we can do this by creating better time management strategies or managing our stress.
When we do this, we become more patient because we learn to embrace that while stress is an unnecessary part of our life, it does not have to consume us, and there is a bigger picture instead of just what we are struggling with.
We become more patient while waiting for God’s plan because we understand there is more to life than being stressed and allowing ourselves to burn out. We can also develop better organizing strategies to engage in other activities that can make us happy as long as we actively try to include them in our lives.
