Life has its adversities that may blur our perception of a good life. In this article, we will clarify our view and acknowledge the things to be grateful for in life.

Trials and setbacks are part of the complexities of life that we may encounter. Because of these adversities settling on us, our perception of a positive and good life may be blurred out. Not only do these challenges hinder us from moving forward, but as well as a cloud our ability to see the bright side of life. This is not totally a fault in the natural way of life testing us but in how we handle and overcome what life has to offer.

Moreover, there are numerous times when humans intrinsically dwell on negativity merely the reason of being deluged by an overwhelming amount of stress. Being under stress from all the problems and setbacks can often cause us to just be consumed and drowned by negativity and pessimism.

In this case, our resiliency is pivotal in clarifying our view once again. It is also about mindset. The fact that our mind is immensely powerful can impact our decisions and choices in life. That is why it is important to consider embracing a sense of mindfulness. This healthy practice can clear our minds and direct us to a path of clarity, finally free from the ambiguous perception of life.

Ultimately, one of the many things we can do to handle the negative perception of life is to be mindful of the things we are grateful for. At last, a life of positivity opens the door and enters our lives.

“We often take for granted the very things that most deserve our gratitude.”

  – Cynthia Ozick

There are a lot of things to be grateful for in life, even the most minor things. Moreover, each one of us is different, and some things matter so much to me but matter only a little to you. Essentially, the things we are grateful for every day can vary from person to person. However, in this article, we will tackle only a general fraction of the blessings of life. As we go through these, let’s open our minds and remember the other things we have that deserve our acknowledgment and gratitude.

Let’s begin counting our blessings and never cease!

1. Your Loved Ones –

Let’s be grateful for the people we have in our lives who mean so much to us. This includes our parents, relatives, friends, and partners. Remember to make the most of every day with them and never take them for granted.

2. Your Mind and Heart –

Let’s be grateful for our ability to think and feel. These are often overlooked just because both are just innate, but even so, be grateful for being able to create because of your mind and for being able to empathize because of your heart.

3. Life’s Challenges –

The trials in life fabricate a stronger version of who we are. We become more resilient as time goes by, and we become happier in the long run. With life’s challenges, we are provided with more wisdom in navigating life.

4. Your Home –

The shelter we reside in is deserving of our gratitude. Let’s be grateful for the cherished moments and memories we have sparked within the walls of what we call our home.

5. Music –

It evokes emotions and thoughts and can even give us ideas. Let’s be grateful we have an outlet to escape from the miseries and stresses of life.

6. Time –

Let’s be grateful for every moment we have in the world because time is fleeting.

7. Books –

The knowledge and information we gain from books are truly invaluable. Let’s be grateful for these mediums of insight and imagination.

8. Animals –

Let’s be grateful for animals and creatures other than humans that add diversity to life. Most especially our pets, let’s acknowledge the impactful role they have set in our lives.

9. Sun and Moon –

For the sun giving us light and for the moon brightening up our night sky, the natural parts of life deserve gratitude and appreciation.

10. Food and Water –

These basic needs of life are often taken for granted. Imagine a life without food and water, we would perish. Let’s always be grateful for these essentials.

11. Job and Education –

Let’s be grateful we have a job strengthened by education. Because of this, we are able to earn money and tend to our needs and wants in life.
